Do you vomit while traveling? This is what we call Motion Sickness.

Are you one of those people who vomits while riding a car, bus, boat or plane? Someone who brings rubs, oils and ointments when traveling? This is what we call Motion Sickness.

Motion sickness is a sensation of wooziness. It usually occurs when you’re traveling by car, boat, plane, or train. Your body’s sensory organs send mixed messages to your brain, causing dizziness, lightheadedness, or nausea. This sickness doesn't usually require a professional diagnosis for it resolves itself quickly. People knows when it's coming on because this illness only occurs during traveling or other specific activities.

When I see someone vomits inside the bus and smell the scents of a rub, I then remember my childhood days. Once in a while, usually happens in December, our family travels to the city from province to buy new clothes and exchange gifts for school's Christmas party. My father who's working in the city will then meet us at the bus station. Normally he's coming every week on his off-day and returns back to the city on the following day.

Before traveling, my mom do prepare plastic bags, tissue paper, over the counter medicines, rubs and ointments. This is because I always vomit while riding a bus. I sleep early the night before the travel and I don't eat oily foods on the day of the trip. I take hot choco drinks and put some rubs or ointments on my tummy as well. These are some of the home prevention remedies we do before leaving from home. Yet, these are not enough to stop the feeling of nausea.

After several trips, I found out that sleeping and seating at front seats are effective for me. From then on, I always look for front seats or any seat where I can see clearly the roadway. And as I often travel, this motion sickness was naturally treated. I never felt anymore that running air inside my tummy while riding a vehicle even if I'm not sleeping on the trip or seated at the front row.

My fight for those previous motion sickness that I had were finally over when I learned the advantages of drinking intoxicating beverages first before riding any vehicle. The best thing was I enjoyed sleeping during the long ride without any signs of throwing up. The only problem was I had to stop the vehicle most of the time just to pee since alcohol induces one to urinate a lot.. hahaha.. :D Ответить

I don't vomit when I travel maybe because I love to travel. My youngest son used to vomit when he travelled. So when he travels during field trips, I gave him Bonamine an hour before the travel. However, when he started to work outside our municipality, his motion sickness had gone. Maybe his mind and stomach got used to the smell of airconditioned bus or van. Ответить

I remember when I was young and we seldom travelling by bus, that I used to be like that so my mom always told me not to eat too much to prevent and stop me from vomiting while travelling. When I reach Highschool, that's when I started travelling with no mess of vomiting at all. Ответить

This is literally how I am. I remember always staying at home every time the family went out of town. I even hated going on school educational tours when I was studying. Freaking long bus rides. Ответить
